DEPOT DEFENDER
The Depot Defender is designed to protect larger diesel refuelling tanks which typically have a pump connected to a permanent electricity supply. It detects and provides an alarm when the fuel decreases at a faster than normal rate or when hatch is opened without the alarm having first been disabled.
A probe fitted on the tank is wired to an alarm controller unit located near the pump. When the alarm is triggered the unit will operate an external sounder or any other devices which may be installed. The alarm is automatically disabled when the pump is in operation to ensure alerts are not generated when refuelling vehicles.
The Depot Defender can additionally be fitted with a Communicator device which enables SMS texts to be transmitted when alarms are raised, and for remote configuration using the same medium. Fuel Alarms additionally can provide a Premiere service which extends the alerting, monitoring and configuration to an easy to use web site interface and i-Phone Application.
The Depot Defender can link directly to an existing intruder alarm system via a cable or where this is not practical, a secondary alarm controller can be installed near to the intruder unit. Communication between the controllers is via RF transmission with range options of 300m or 1km (line of sight).
