OIL DEFENDER
The Oil Defender is our flagship product which has been designed to combat the ever increasing theft of oil from tanks which have no locally available electricity supply. In the event of an attempted theft a wireless signal is transmitted from the tank unit to a mains powered alarm controller which is located in a near-by building. This unit can be directly linked to an existing intruder alarm system or supplied with a suitable GSM call/text device for remote alerting, configuration and monitoring.
Tanks in rural locations are easy targets for the thieves as domestic alarms on the market do not normally have the range required for many of todays' businesses. Our Oil Defender product - OD300 provides a wireless alarm capable of transmitting up to 300 metres (line of site) whilst the OD1000 version will operate up to a range of 1km.
The tank unit which has a tamper sensor will also detect and warn immediately if either the inspection hatch is opened or the level of fuel is reduced at a faster than normal rate. An informational alert is also generated when the oil level reaches a pre-determined low-level point allowing a for new order to be placed. The unit can be disabled when the tank is being refilled or if it is used for refilling vehicles or machinery.
